We dined in for Cinco de Mayo, and on their busiest night they were still on top of everything. Food was excellent and speedy, and all the servers had a hand in taking care of us. They were attentive, kind and fun and Will in particular made our night! We can't wait to come back.

Came here on a late Saturday afternoon. A friend was visiting from VA and was hungry. We decided to give it a try. We ordered a few items off their menu after we ordered some delicious margaritas! Tacos were good. A little in the small side but not bad. The enchiladas were AMAZING and require more attention. The green sauce that they have on them.. we had to ask for more of it on the side for our tacos. So good. Quesadillas were just okay. Service could've been better being that the place didn't seem too busy. No vibes in here tho.. just us making it do what it do. Love me some Mexican but not sure if I'll return.

For dinner, the ceviche, queso fundido and trompito al pastor were excellent. The presentation of the meats so we can make our own tacos was so fun. We also ordered lengua tacos. It was ok, not as flavorful as the trompito. Finished the meal with warm churros that come with caramel and chocolate sauce. Yum! Service was very attentive. Nicole was our server and she took good care of us. The person helping her was also very nice. He made sure we had water at all times. Enjoyed our pineapple and passion fruit margaritas. I'm surprised by the low rating. I think this restaurant is very good.

Despite the rating, this was one of my new favorite places for food! Everything food-wise was amazing! The Azteca Sopa was really flavorful and not spicy, hit the spot on a cold night. The quesillo cheese in the soup was really well added and played perfectly with the other flavors. I didn't much care for the shredded chicken in the soup, but my friends loved it. The Verde sauce in the enchiladas was amazing as well! Lastly, the tacos pescado - I was told - were really delicious with the 3 sauces offered not being overly too spicy.

Popped in with a friend after her flight to grab a quick dinner. Convenient as it's located nearby and I had heard good things from my roommate. We got seated really quick and was able to snatch a seat upstairs which was fun. The restaurant has really good vibes inside - lots of plans and very lively. I got the tinga chicken tacos and they were delicious. Very juicy and tender, good amount of filling, and 3 servings per order. I think the price is a bit on the higher end, but still really good. Our waiter was very attentive and making sure we were content with what we got. Will definitely be stopping by again sometime soon!

Food and drinks were delicious here. The chicken enchiladas were AMAZING! Would come back just for them. Shrimp tacos, beef tacos, and watermelon marg were reallly good as well. They even serve the marg in a half watermelon. We ended with the tres leches which was pretty good also. We sat upstairs and outside. Vibe was great indoors and out. Service was good. Wait staff were very friendly. Only down side was that the tables are pretty small so it's difficult to order multiple things at once.

Evth was good but not great I would say. it's hard to find great mexican food in NYC for some reason esp when compared to LA. It's more like 3.5 rounded up to 4. Esquites were great, always love ordering this and it's hard to go wrong The tacos had a thin, corn texture to them which was nice and the meat was tender enough for most of it, but could have been juicier, more flavor-packed as I felt it was a bit light on those aspects. So, good not great. It's cool they have a fish version of al pastor which was yummy Their guac was really good though I'll give them that! Creamy, bright, salty, and satisfying. The tamale comes unwrapped, and was a little on the dry side. Again the flavor wasn't ,mindblowing but it def scratches the itch. If you need a quick mexican fix this is a good place for it.

Have you ever found a diamond in the rough? I did Zona Rose. Don't get me wrong; there is nothing rough about Zona Rosa; I feel for Zona Rosa having to contend with the MTA construction outside their establishment. Honestly, after searching for the best Mexican food spots in the Williamsburg area, I almost didn't choose Zona Rosa because of all the construction. Indeed, I was going to pass on even trying because they looked closed. Something told me to call them and double-check; I am so glad I did. So, as I said, there is nothing rough about Zona Rosa. On the contrary, Zona Rosa is a diamond. I had the house special; apparently, after speaking with one of the owners, the special is often requested by customers. Arriving just as they opened, I got my pick of areas to sit in. I chose the slightly elevated patio-like place, which was cozy and well-lit compared to other seating areas. As I mentioned, I ordered the house unique and a pineapple margarita. The food, music, and service were excellent. After a few bites, I could see why customers requested it. So, if you are ever in the area and looking for a delicious meal served with love and authenticity, I highly recommend Zona Rosa, And please, the house special.

Ordered: Mango Margarita (~$14): 2oz Premium Agave Tequila, fresh squeezed lime, mango flavor Passionfruit Margarita (~$14): 2oz Premium Agave Tequila, fresh squeezed lime, passionfruit flavor Guacamole with Totopos (~$14): guacamole with tortilla chips served with salsa verde and salsa roja Pescado al Pastor Tacos (~$16): 3 per order; grilled fish of the day marinated in guajillo salsa, grilled pineapple, onion, and cilantro on corn tortillas Arroz & Frijoles (~$6): side of rice and beans Aya's take: Great dinner spot, and pretty empty on a Thursday - we were able to walk in and sit anywhere as a party of 3. Of the 2 Margaritas, the Mango was definitely the better one. I loved the presentation of the Tacos but the fish was pretty overcooked and dry. The Arroz & Frijoles complemented the tacos well and the Guacamole was super fresh. Overall, nice dinner experience if you're in the area!

Zona Rosa is in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and was a place that a former colleague selected for us to have dinner recently - Yes to Taco Tuesday-lol. This eatery is accessible via the G train to Metropolitan or the L train to Loriner and a few minutes of walking. Zona Rosa is on the corner and once you walk inside, I was greeted by a staffperson near the front entrance podium who provided me with a warm greeting. I let her know that the +1 was waiting for me upstairs as my former colleague made a reservation for us to have rooftop seating (I was told this was done as a courtesy as usually their are no reservations made for rooftop seating & only serves walk-ins). As I scanned the 1st floor, there is a bar area and I saw their beautifully mixed wooden w/ bold orange color table /seating arrangements (orange is one of my favorite colors). There are gorgeous plants and visible as you go up the stairway to the next floor. The Mezzanine level has a cute chic bar area with additional table seating. Both the Mezzanine and Rooftop Areas are quaint, w/ partial views and provided a cool vibe during that beautiful Summer Evening. Happy Hour is until 7pm so we were able to partake of about 15 minutes of that menu which has specific cocktails for $8. My former colleague ordered a regular Margarita and I had a Watermelon Margaritas. She said that her cocktail was good and I kept raving about Zona Rosa's refreshing Watermelon Margarita. This was so fantastic that I would definitely return there for another one. Their Happy Hour policy is that you can only order.another drink once you have finished the prevuous one in its entirety, so make sure that you get there for a good amount timeto thoroughly enjoy the Happy Hour period. We ordered fish as I had Fish Tacos w/ a Side of Yellow Rice and she had a Fish Entree. Although the fish tacos and side of rice were small portions for the price, everything, tasted delicious and I would order the tacos again- I liked the plated presentation w/ the top holding the sauces w/ the tacos being displayed on the bottom row. Although Happy Hour ended, I wanted to try the Tamarind Margarita ($14). Zona Rosa also has select food items during happy hour as well as other fantastic cocktails overall like their Hibiscus Margarita and Sangrias. Great service from staff as they were courteous and friendly. Website - zonarosabrooklyn.com Instagram - @zonarosabrooklyn Hours of Operation- Mon-Thurs 5pm-11pm Fri. 5pm - Midnight Sat. Noon - Midnight Sun. Noon -11pm Zona Rosa also has Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 4pm. I will be back for cocktails and to try their Brunch.
